TheAMD FX-8350 is a fast desktop octa-core processor (4 modules) of the "Vishera" FX series.  In contrast to APUs similar the A10-5800K, the FX models doesn't have a GPU. However, the FX-8350 integrates a DDR3-1866 memory controller and an unlocked multiplicator for easy overclocking.

The design of the chip is based on theBulldozer architecture (Piledriver cores), which consists of so-called modules. Each of the iv modules integrates 2 integer units, but only ane FPU. Vishera supports nearly all current techniques such as AVX (including FMA), AES or Turbo Core.

In terms of operation, the FX-8350 can not quite go on upward with the fastest competing models from Intel. On average, the performance is virtually on par with a Core i5 processor of the Ivy Bridge generation, but in that location can be significant differences depending on the application: In well parallelized software the FX-8350 reaches the more expensive Core i7-3770K, while less optimized tasks will run significantly slower.

The AMD Ryzen vii 5825U is a processor for sparse and light laptops based on the Cezanne generation. Information technology is part of the "Barcelo" refresh in early on 2022 and offers 100 MHz college clocked CPU cores compared to the erstwhile Ryzen 7 5800U. The R7 5825U integrates all eight cores based on the Zen 3 microarchitecture and is the fastest U-serial processor at launch. They are clocked at two (guaranteed base of operations clock) to 4.5 GHz (Turbo) and support SMT / Hyperthreading (16 threads). The chip is manufactured on the modern 7 nm TSMC procedure.

The new Zen 3 microarchitecture offers a significantly college IPC (instructions per clock) compared to Zen 2. For desktop processors AMD claims 19 pct on average and in applications reviews showed around 12% gains at the same clock speed.

The CPU performance should exist between the old Ryzen 7 5800U and the new Ryzen vii 6800U (Zen 3+, half dozen nm, upwardly to 4.7 GHz).

In improver to the eight CPU cores, the APU also integrates a Radeon RX Vega eight GPU with viii CUs at upwardly to 2000 MHz.
